Detailed Planning
There was a lot of planning put in to this project and we required resource consents, council consents and some comprehensive engineers calculations and drawings. The project involved adding some additional outdoor living space with a deck to walk out on as well as the area underneath becoming more usable space requiring excavation work.
Plenty of Outdoor Living Space
The new deck provided a larger outdoor living space and with the views to the water this has added both additional living space and also increased the value of the property. We were also working around trees that were protected which added some additional challenge with construction.
Complicated Stairs? No Problem!
In the design we needed to have access from the upper deck down to the lower deck and new area under the deck. This required some challenging step design to both look nice and enhance the flow of the deck as well as being functional without too much of a tread height on each step.
